World Book Day at St Nicholas Church

World Book Day at St Nicholas Church, King’s Lynn, with PEACH West Norfolk and Churches Conservation Trust.

My background is in theatre where I could be seen in various Shakespearian guises. Due to a keen interest in literature and social history, I have since worked as a Bookseller for Waterstones in Norwich and in Visitor Services for Norfolk Museums Service.

My writing draws from historical objects and archives to bring history to life through storytelling and explore how people have related to their environments throughout time. I also run workshops because I would like people to enjoy storytelling as much as I do!

Frustrated by the lack of fair opportunity for people who lacked the time and money to take a writing course, I was determined to set up some non-profit events that offered constructive critique to new writers and showcased fresh voices, as well as a chance to meet fellow literary enthusiasts and eat biscuits.

The first event began in a pub where I worked in South Ealing, then on to the The British Library and then through the Prince’s Trust Enterprise Programme.
